Bourbonnais to vote on $1.5 million tax levy

The Bourbonnais Village board will hold its regular meeting Monday at 5:30 p.m.

The board is expected to approve its annual tax levy for approximately $1.5 million.

As winter sets in, the board will also consider opening bids for snow plow equipment. Kankakee Equipment, Inc. has placed a bid for $36,588. Teleward, Inc. has placed its bid at $37,694.

Trustee Bruce Greenlee of the Police Committee will then recognize officers Garcia and Boudreau as well as telecommunicator Hennessy for the roles they played in saving a teenager's life on Aug. 14.

Before adjourning, the board will hear committee reports from Annexation, Building and Zoning, Community Affairs and Services, Utilities and Buildings and Grounds as well as reports from the Village administrator, the Village president and the Village attorney.
