The Kankakee County Board approved a contract with Tobey's Construction for public highway improvements at its Dec. 8 meeting.
The contract is worth $414,003, which will be paid for with money from the County Bridge Fund.
Tobey's Construction, based in Herscher, won the contract through a bidding process that began on Nov. 12. and was considered by the board's Public Highways and Bridges committee.
