The Manteno Village Board held its regular meeting Nov. 16.
The village approved the purchase of a $13,380 fingerprinting device for digital fingerprinting. Village officials said the machine would be paid for with federal seizure money.
Acting Village Administrator Bernie Thompson said Hitchcock Design Group (HDG) is preparing a presentation for the board on development ideas for a 2.6 acre area on Second Street, following their special meeting with the Committee of the Whole to brainstorm potential plans.
HDG is a local placemaking firm with more than 35 years of experience developing attractive, environmentally friendly, enjoyable places that add to a local government's land value.
Thompson did not say when the presentation would take place.
There was no new or old business.
