Bradley considers state fuel program

Gaspumps

The Bradley board discussed a resolution that would allow the village to opt in to a statewide fuel purchasing and tracking system expected to save the village up to 15 percent on vehicle fuel and maintenance costs.

The agreement between the state and the fuel management company WEX allows local governments to join a group-purchasing program that leverages the combined buying power of participating villages and cities to secure better fuel prices.

The program also comes with resources from WEX that help municipalities track and manage their fuel consumption, fuel rebates and tax exemptions.

The resolution is listed as "pending" with the village.
