The Manteno board of trustees met Monday at the Leo T. Hassett Community Center to vote on selling the village's lease for land beneath a cell tower.
Landmark Dividend has offered the village $350,000 for a 99-year lease on the property at 28 W. Cook St.
The board was also expected to vote on finalizing an agreement with Hitchcock Design Services for a redesign of part of Second Street. The firm specializes in designing public spaces and will help generate plans and steward the project to completion.
If passed, the agreement would make Hitchcock compose a series of schematic designs to help the village assess project options.
