Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met Feb. 20.

Here is the minutes as provided by the Board:

6:00 PM Meeting Called to Order/ Pledge

Roll Call was taken, all members present

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 2/06/17 meeting

Motion: Morse    2nd: Dickson     Motion Carried 5-0-1   Morgan abstaining

*Motion to approve bills for payment: General Fund <2/17/17 $16,795.51, Sewer $150.00, Payroll <2/11/17 $13,336.52, Stipend <2/13/17 $1,275.00

Motion: Dickson     2nd: Morse    Motion Carried 6-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: no report

Streets & Alley, Veldhuizen: no report

Discussion held on a Com-Ed LED re lamping program for street lights, Mr. Wold will look in to it. A sidewalk will be looked at near Midland Bank.

Finance, Dickson:

*Motion to approve Resolution R-2-17-1 Authorizing payoff of a loan at Midland Bank with TIF Funds in the amount of $183,924.20

Motion: Dickson    2nd: Veldhuizen     Motion Carried 5-1-0      Wold voting no

Sewer & Garbage, Morgan: Remarks made on rain water flow infiltration to the sewer plant. Waiting on a State Grant on the next sewer project to come through. Talk on grants being applied for,  to do Park projects/upgrades.

Building & Grounds, Wold: Furnace finished at the Community Center, A.C. to have the wiring installed in the near future.  Cleaning to be done in the kitchen soon.  Mr. Wold gave a “thank-you” to Sonoco Thermosafe in Beecher for the donation of 2 large coolers for use at the Community Building.

Ordinance & Insurance, Morse:

*Motion to approve second reading of Ordinance O-2-17-1 travel and expense

Motion: Morse    2nd: Dickson     Motion Carried 6-0

*Motion to waive first reading of Ordinance O-2-17-3 accepting Mediacom Franchise Fees

Motion: Morse    2nd: Wold     Motion Carried 6-0

Motion to approve Ordinance O-2-17-3 accepting Mediacom Franchise Fees

Motion: Morse    2nd: Wold    Motion Carried 6-0

Auditors were in to review Workmen Comp Insurance.

Law Enforcement, Malkowski:

*Resolution authorizing participation in CMS Federal surplus program R-2-17-2

Motion: Malkowski    2nd: Dickson     Motion Carried 6-0

Pres. Roth: no report

No Executive Session held
