The Office of Kankakee County Sheriff issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.
On Saturday, at approximately 2:13 am, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office and multiple other police agencies responded to a call of shots fired at the Huddle Sports Bar located at 1887 Armour Rd. Upon arrival, the crime scene was located and included several cars that were damaged from gunfire, multiple spent casings and what appeared to be a blood trail. Officers secured the crime scene but were unable to locate any victims at that location.
Shortly after the initial call, 27 year old Rickey Jones arrived at an area hospital and advised he had been shot in the parking lot of the Huddle Sports Bar. Mr. Jones further advised he did not know who shot him or why somebody would shoot him.
At this point in the investigation detectives are following up on leads and processing recovered evidence.
