Parkhurst praises Kankakee Community College educator retiring after 22 years

State Rep. Lindsay Parkhurst (R-Kankakee) congratulated Kristine Condon on her recent retirement from Kankakee Community College.

“Dr. Condon started the paralegal program and raised it to an American Bar Association accredited paralegal degree program,” Parkhurst said on her Facebook page in July. “The program is a success and continues to collaborate with the local legal community."

Graduates of the program are practicing “throughout our community from local private firms to the courts to the States Attorney and Public Defenders offices,” the legislator said in the post. “Thank you Dr. Condon.”

She praised Condon for 32 years of public service, 22 of which were at the community college.

Condon served as a deputy clerk with the Illinois Supreme Court in its Chicago office and worked as a training coordinator with Chicago law firm Keck, Mahin & Cate, according to her bio on the KCC website.

She has been an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University, Calumet College of St. Joseph, and South Suburban College, the bio said
