Call to Order 

The meeting was called to order by the County Board Chairman, Mr. Wheeler, at 9:00 a.m. Quorum present.

Quorum was present. 

Public Comment

Approval of Minutes: February 22, 2022 

Ms. Parker made a motion to approve the minutes and Mr. Carrico seconded. Motion carried with a voice vote. 

Legislative 

Information Services – Kevin Duval 

Mr. Duval provided an update to the committee. Discussions were held.

Health Department – John Bevis 

There was no report.

Schools 

Veterans Assistance Commission – Karen Smietanski 

• Monthly Report

Discussions were held.

Mr. Payton made a motion to approve, and Mr. Hess seconded it. Motion carried with a voice vote. 

County Administrator’s Report – Anita Speckman 

Monthly Update

Ms. Speckman reviewed the opening positions within the county and there is an upcoming job fair. Discussions were held.

Appointments/Reappointments/Resignations 

• Resignation of Steve Schultz from the Limestone Fire Protection District

• Reappointment of Jordan Lee to the Momence Fire Protection District

• Reappointment of Dave Horn to the Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB 911) 

• Reappointment of Robert Dennis to the Farmland Assessment Review Committee 

• Reappointment of Peter Viall to the Farmland Assessment Review Committee

Mr. Miller made a motion to combine and approve and Mr. Long seconded it. Motion carried with a voice vote. 

• Appointment of Michael Gall, Jason Kingsnorth or Joey Baud to the Momence Fire Protection District

Mr. Hess made a motion to appoint Joey Baud to the Momence Fire Protection District, and Mr. Long seconded it. Motion carried with a voice vote.
