State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) has chosen Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator in Park Forest for her April 2024 local business spotlight. Haas commended the business, stating, "I am honored to recognize Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator for my April Local Business Spotlight."

Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator, founded by Fershawnda Green in 2018, provides a commercial kitchen space to new businesses seeking a shared facility. The concept stemmed from Green's personal journey of commuting to Chicago daily for kitchen access, leading her to establish a local kitchen incubator to support budding entrepreneurs in the community.
