City of Watseka Purchasing Committee met Jan. 13.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

PRESENT: Mayor Marcier, Aldermen Pence, Miller, Garfield and Alderwoman Rohlfs

Mayor Marcier opened the meeting at 5:30 pm. There was no public comment.

Discussion was had concerning the fire department claim from AHW regarding a repair to a combine corn head. They committee also discussed the gym membership and Alderman Pence is going to talk to Chief Baier and Loren at Public Works regarding diesel fuel.

The committee looked at and signed 65 purchase orders.

Alderman Miller made a motion to adjourn at 6:00 pm and Alderwoman Rohlfs seconded. Roll call carried 5-0.

Iroquois County has received a final property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000 for the 2025 tax year, according to David Harris, director of the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR).
