Bourbonnais – Gregory “Greg” Klonowski, 66, passed away on June 25, 2025, at his home due to a sudden illness. Born on March 4, 1959, in Kankakee to Joseph and Shirley Klonowski, Greg married Patrice “Patty” Norman in 2007 in Jamaica.

Greg dedicated 32 years to the Public Works Department of the Village of Bourbonnais, where he served as a group leader. An alumnus of Bishop McNamara High School, Greg excelled in football and baseball, later becoming a baseball coach. He loved traveling with his wife, excelled in home improvement projects, and was always willing to offer his help and engage in meaningful conversations.

A passionate Chicago sports enthusiast, Greg was an avid fan of the Blackhawks, Bears, and White Sox. He cherished time with family, especially his grandchildren, lovingly called “Popeye”.

He is survived by his wife Patty, children Blake, Kody, Shelby, Sydney, Tristan, Noah, stepson Monet, siblings, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dog Kaner. Preceded in death by his parents and stepson Alexander Duval.

Visitation will be on June 29, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, with a funeral service the following day. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the family’s wishes or donor’s choice in memory of Greg Klonowski.
