Manteno – Hubert G. Bishop, 94, passed away on June 22, 2025, at his home in Manteno, IL. Born in Rockville, MO, Hubert worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company before retiring to farm. He enjoyed being outdoors and antiquing in his younger years.
Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, sister, first wife, and nephew, Hubert is survived by his wife Ann Bishop, daughter Sandra Windell, grandson William Windell, great-grandson Tyler Murray, sister June Jacque, stepchildren, nieces, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A longtime member of Ritchey Methodist Church, Hubert’s services will be private as per his wishes. Donations can be made to the Manteno Public Library in his memory. Hubert will be fondly remembered for his love of farming and antiquing by those who knew him.
