Midgrade gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.29 per gallon at one gas station in Iroquois County during the week ending Feb. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $3.41 per gallon for midgrade gas.
Of the 21 reported gas stations located within Iroquois County, six offered midgrade gas.
The statewide average price of midgrade gas in Illinois was $3.56 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 28, an increase from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
