Iroquois County had one gas station selling diesel gas at the lowest price of $3.15 per gallon during the week ending Feb. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Diesel gas prices averaged $3.57 per gallon in Iroquois County.
Of the 21 reported gas stations in cities within Iroquois County, 10 offered diesel gas.
Across Illinois, the average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas rose to $3.69, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
