U.S. Representative Robin Kelly used her social media platform to address recent events and policy decisions involving federal law enforcement and environmental regulation.

On February 12, 2026, Kelly posted a tweet about a shooting incident in Chicago involving a Border Patrol agent. She wrote, “A Border Patrol agent shot a woman 5 times in Chicago. The following day, on February 13, 2026, Kelly addressed the conduct of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under Secretary Kristi Noem. Robin Kelly has been repeatedly re-elected as U.S. Representative for Illinois’ 2nd congressional district since first winning office in 2013 against Paul McKinley with over 70% of the vote. In subsequent elections—including victories over Eric Wallace (2014), John Morrow (2016), David Merkle (2018), Theresa Raborn (2020), and Thomas Lynch (2022)—she consistently secured large majorities.
