U.S. Representative Robin Kelly used her social media platform on February 8 and 9, 2026, to address concerns about rising consumer costs, announce an impeachment effort against a sitting governor, and criticize former President Donald Trump’s economic policies.

On February 8, Kelly posted about the financial pressures facing families during major events: “Families should be able to enjoy their Super Bowl traditions without worrying about the cost. From wings to veggie trays, costs are skyrocketing. I will keep fighting to lower costs and make everyday life more affordable for everyone.”

In a separate post dated February 9, she announced her intention to take legislative action: “I AM IMPEACHING KRISTI NOEM.”

Later that day, Kelly commented on national economic conditions under former President Trump: “Trump is driving the economy into the GROUND. He promised relief. Instead, families got higher bills, deeper strain, and an economy working less and less for them.”

Robin Kelly has held her congressional seat since winning a special election in 2013 with over 70% of the vote against Paul McKinley. She has consistently secured re-election in subsequent years by wide margins—receiving between approximately 67% and 81% of votes in general elections from 2014 through 2022.
