Robin Kelly, a U.S. Representative, used her Twitter account to address issues ranging from economic pressures on families to international solidarity and domestic law enforcement concerns.
On February 23, 2026, Kelly posted about the rising costs facing American families: “Families are paying more for groceries, rent, and gas. They feel it every day. And what does Trump do? He doubles down on reckless tariffs that raise prices even more. This is Trump economics. Out of touch. Out of control.”
The following day, she reflected on the ongoing war in Ukraine and recent encounters with Ukrainian defenders in Chicago: “Four years of courage. Four years of defiance. Four years of fighting for democracy. Honored to have met these Ukrainian defenders in Chicago. Ukraine’s resilience is the world’s inspiration.q” (February 24, 2026).
Later that same day, Kelly commented on actions by U.S. immigration authorities under Governor Kristi Noem’s administration: “Under Kristi Noem’s watch, DHS and ICE have trampled the Constitution. Gestapo agents raided homes without warrants, detained people without due process, and killed Americans in the streets without justification. Noem must be impeached.” (February 24, 2026).
Kelly has been repeatedly re-elected to Congress since first winning her seat in a special election in 2013; her most recent victory came in 2022 when she defeated Thomas Lynch with 67.1% of the vote compared to Lynch’s 32.9%. She has maintained strong electoral support throughout her career.
