Spring 2022 Spring Intern Spotlight: Jillian Halsey
0Comments

Growing up as the oldest of six children, Jillian was born being a leader and has been a major asset to the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce during her internship this spring. Jillian is a Senior at Olivet Nazarene University where she is double majoring in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. After graduation, she will be a Public Relations Graduate Assistant while pursuing her Masters in Organizational Leadership.

Throughout her time working with the Chamber, Jillian has helped write blogs for our website and helped prepare for the Leadership and Lunch event that is taking place June 1, 2022. When writing blogs, Jillian interacted and interviewed our Ambassadors and Board members.

Jillian stated that that before working with the Chamber, she was not sure exactly what a Chamber does. However, now she never wants to live in a town where she isn’t involved in a Chamber. “I am so thankful for the experience that I was able to have and the connection I was able to make,” Jillian stated.

In her free time, Jillian enjoys drinking coffee, thrift shopping, planning events and traveling. Jillian has been to New York over sixty times and loves visiting historical places in the United States.

Jillian describes herself as determined, organized and talkative and she expressed these qualities during her time at the Chamber. Once her internship is over, Jillian’s hard work will be missed. However, we are thankful for her dedication to the Chamber and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
