Sewer project work in Bradley to begin in November

Bradley village officials said Wednesday that construction work on city of Kankakee's Sewer Service Project will affect the village beginning in November.

R&R, Inc. and Reuben E. Smith construction will dig a new piping trench, lay pipe, and resurface the road over the 24-inch pipe in order to extend sewer services to the biopharmaceutical company CSL Behring.

Construction will affect the alley between Schuyler Avenue and Dearborn Avenue from Brookmont Boulevard to Broadway Street, Euclid Street from Broadway Street to North Street, North Street from Euclid Street to Industrial Drive and Industrial Drive from North Street to CSL Behring's property.

Portions of these roads may be closed during normal working hours, and some driveways may be obstructed for portions of the day. No night work is expected, and the trenching equipment is expected to be quieter than hammering rock, village officials said.

Residents with questions or concerns about the project are encouraged to contact village officials.

The Bradley Public Works Department can be reached at 815-933-3715; Village Engineer On-site Representative Pat Lovell can be reached at 815-592-0294.

Village officials expect the project to be completed sometime in the spring.
