The village of Manteno's Committee of the Whole will hold a special meeting with Hitchcock Design Group on Wednesday about potential plans for Second Street.
The committee will discuss the resources available, expectations and best strategies for potential projects.
Hitchcock Design Group is one of the state's largest planning and landscape architecture firms. It has received dozens of awards from organizations and government officials throughout Illinois for its development of public spaces, such as riverwalks, downtown districts, parks, play areas and educational facilities since 1980.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Village Board Room at the Leo. T. Hassett Community Center.
