Bradley adopts $2.3 million tax levy

Councilmeeting

The Village of Bradley board held its regular meeting Nov. 9 at Bradley Municipal Hall.

Trustee Balthazor served as Mayor Pro Tem for the evening since President Adams was absent.

The board approved an estimated 2015 tax levy of $2.3 million. The levy is approximately $17,000 less than the previous year.

Public Works Director Bessler reported that the department was only able to clean about 1/7th of what it usually cleans during the 2015 sanitary sewer cleaning program; the village cleaned approximately 10,000 ft. of sewer as opposed to the more typical 77,000 ft.

Buildings Director Pallissard reported that the village issued 116 building permits and conducted 286 inspections during the month of October. There were no new single family homes, keeping the year's total at 11. Pallissard added that, as of October, there are 513 registered businesses and 440 registered landlords in Bradley.

The meeting adjourned after Police Chief Kufner presented a retirement badge and a service award to Sargeant Joe Martino for his 30 years of service to the village.
