The Kankakee County Highway and Bridge Committee held its regular meeting Nov. 12.
The committee awarded a construction bid for $414,003.75 to Tobey's Construction. The bid was 4 percent over budget, but it was also the only bid placed.
Despite a state budget stalemate that had been withholding motor fuel tax revenues from local governments at the time of the meeting, commissions still complied with the state's request to submit an approved estimate of how much MFT revenue they would need for road maintenance in 2016.
The county approved a resolution for $2,865,219.
Before adjourning, the group also approved the consolidation and filing of several compliance reviews.
The meeting lasted 16 minutes.
Commissioner Bill Olthoff was absent.
