Bradley appoints new administrator

Villageofbradley

The Bradley Village Board held its regular meeting Nov. 23 at Bradley Municipal Hall.

The board approved the mayoral appointment of Lisa Powers-Severson as the new village administrator. It also appointed retired Sargent Joe Martino to the Police Pension Board.

The ordinance committee gave the first reading of the 2015 property tax levy.

During public comment, Frank Johnson of the Kankakee River Metropolitan Agency (KRMA) gave an update on the agency's expansion project. Johnson said KRMA has also identified a new dump site in Kankakee that will save 245 truck loads going to the KRMA facility, reducing the traffic demand around that area.

The Bradley police and fire departments gave their monthly reports. Police answered 2,386 calls for service in October, while the Fire Department responded to 207 emergencies during the same period.

The board also welcomed new business Physicians Immediate Care to town during its "New Business Spotlight" segment. Physicians Immediate Care is located at 350 N. Kinzie.
