The Manteno Parks and Recreation Commission held its regular meeting Aug. 19.
During the parks update, officials announced that they will replace lights on Main Street plaza that were damaged by water as well as replace a damaged roof in Belcher Park. They also said that mulch had been added to many of Manteno's parks.
The commission reviewed sketches of new equipment proposed for Wright Park. The village is expected to make improvements to the park sometime in 2016.
The meeting was adjourned after 30 minutes.
Lori Keigher, Bill Johnson, Renee Cushman and Ed Leifker were absent.
