The Bourbonnais Finance Committee held its regular meeting Dec. 2.
The village agreed to participate in the Illinois Municipal Insurance Cooperative for 2016. The co-op is owned and operated by participating governments and provides a suite of insurance policies suited to the activities of local governments. Bourbonnais will specifically seek liability insurance.
The committee also approved the lowest bid for snow plow equipment from Kankakee Equipment Inc. and a $8,600 proposal for future sewer improvements from Tyson Engineering.
After returning from a closed session focused on personnel discussions, the committee adjourned.
