The Bourbonnais board of trustees appointed Laurie Wimberly assistant village administrator at a meeting Dec. 21.
Previously, Wimberly served for seven years as the village's Community and Economic Development director.
The trustees also unanimously approved an audit report for the village and an agreement with the Illinois Municipal Insurance Cooperative (IMIC) for insurance.
The IMIC is a municipality-owned insurance provider specializing in liability insurance packages and risk management services tailored to the needs and activities of local governments.
Trustee Jeff Keast was absent.
