Bradley posts ComEd tree trimming schedule

Vegetationmanagement

Commonwealth Edison Company will be trimming trees in various parts of Bradley in January.

The company will be working in the area west of I-50 and North Kinzie Avenue, north of East Armour Road around Rivard Drive and Rivard Street and south of East Armour Road from George Lane eastward.

The company said the trimming is meant to keep power lines free from obstructions that could cause outages or pose safety concerns.

The company also reminded residents of the rules regarding new plantings beneath power lines or other power supply equipment, which require tree species expected to grow no larger than 20 feet tall, such as dogwoods or crabapples.

The company sent out notices with further details to Bradley residents Nov. 30.

Residents with questions or concerns are encouraged to call 1-800-EDISON-1.
