The Kankakee City Council will vote on approving a community family residence on Navajo Court at its meeting Tuesday at the Donald E. Green Public Safety Center.
The proposal was put forward by Cornerstone Services Inc., a Joliet-based group founded in 1969 that works on projects benefiting people living with disabilities.
The vote will be preceded by a presentation of findings from the Planning Board.
The council will also review a request from Gerry and Judy Kilbride to host their annual 5K run and two mile walk to raise money for autism. The event would be held June 19 at Cobb Park.
The city will announce the winner of its bid process for the Department of Public Works' 2016 fuel contract.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 385 E. Oak St.
