The Bourbonnais Township Park District met Nov. 23 at Exploration Station to consider a bond measure that would fund major park projects for the year ahead.
After hearing committee reports on Exploration Station, Diamond Point, Finance, Parks and Grounds and recreation, the commissioners held a public hearing on the decision to sell $875,000 in bonds to cover maintenance and purchasing costs associated with the park district, particularly a new backstop and dugout at Diamond Point and paving at Perry Farm.
No comments from the public were made.
The board also approved changes to its vacation policy and approved a deputy director job description.
