Bradley signs on to I-57 feasibility study

Villageofbradley

The Bradley board of trustees signed on to a feasibility study of the proposed Bourbonnais Parkway I-57 project at their meeting Jan. 11.

The study would be conducted by the design firm Ratio and be paid for by the villages of Bradley, Bourbonnais and Manteno as well as the wider Kankakee County. If the other local governments sign on as well, Bradley's cost would be $5,627.39.

The study will yield preliminary plans and project maps, recommendations for development in the area surrounding the construction site and alternative designs.

The board also approved funds for road maintenance and the purchase of a new 2016 pickup truck for the fire department at a cost of $41,759.58.
