Bradley hires new crew of substitute teachers

The Bradley Elementary School District No. 61 Board of Education approved the hiring of five new substitute teachers Jan. 21 at the district offices.

Lauren Steward, Daniel Johnson, Deborah Pitts, Emily Caise and Alroa Cooper were all officially confirmed as were new track coaches Andrew Burton and Andrew Welsh.

The board also approved the resignations of 8th grade Language Arts teacher Zach Dowdy, Central softball coach Scott Bright and Central baseball coach Mike Kukuck.

The board also discussed future plans for the Kankakee Area Special Education Cooperative, lead by program representative Mary Schubert.
