The Kankakee School District 111 board met Feb. 8 to review dozens of personnel appointments, including new principals for Kankakee High School (KHS) and Steuben Elementary.
Jennifer Bednarczyk was appointed principal at KHS, while Ana Kasal was appointed principal at Steuben.
The board also approved the appointments of Academic Interventionist Alandria Roundtree, Detention Supervisor and Hall Monitor Cubie Ramsey, Hall Monitor Julian Bogan, Hall Monitor Twaine Wicks, Assistant Girl's Track Coach Oletha Grant, Assistant Girl's Soccer Coach Eddie Zavala, Assistant Boy's Track Coach Mike Krol, Black History Program Accompanist Raymond Glover and Black History Program Accompanist Armani Robicheaux.
The board approved retirements or resignations for ESL teacher Connie Schneider, Special Education teacher Leslie Smith, Teaching Assistant Nayeli Camargo, Hall Monitor Charles Weathersby and Volleyball Assistant Coach Shawna Dukes.
The board approved administrative leave for KHS English teacher Nicole McKean and Operations Supervisor Ricky Johnson.
Board member Joseph Lightfoot was absent.
