Kankakee Community College will offer a free job application skills seminar from 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. March 29 at the school's Harold & Jean Miner South Extension Center in Watseka.
The seminar, entitled “Resumes, Cover Letters and Interviewing Skills – Oh My!” will cover the basics of each of those important job search skills with the goal of leaving job seekers more prepared to succeed in securing work for themselves.
"This seminar is great for people who are...new graduates, career changers or who have employment gaps,” KCC’s Miner South Extension Center Coordinator Nancy Schunke said. “Students will leave the session ready to organize their resume, create a cover letter and make a great impression at a job interview.”
Prospective participants are required to register in advance either over the phone at 815-802-8780 or in person at the South Extension Center.
The South Extension Center is located at 1488 E. Walnut St. in Watseka.
