Kankakee Community College will debut a new electronic tool April 4 to help students navigate registration and other planning processes.
Student Self-Service is the new tool students will use to register for classes. Students will have the choice to make additional use of the platform for tracking grades, searching the course catalog, paying for classes and communicating with faculty advisers.
The school is also updating the format of its electronic catalog. School officials said students will be treated to a more accurate, user-friendly experience that easily links information in the catalog directly to reference resources in the relevant college department.
The changes went online Tuesday as students began planning their fall semesters. The school will continue to print catalogs as well. Print versions are expected to be released next month.
