The Kankakee County board unanimously approved the appointment of Robert "Scott" Snavely to the Kankakee County Regional Planning Commission March 8.
Snavely was recommended to the post on Feb. 25 by the county's executive committee.
The Kankakee County Regional Planning Commission is a 17-member commission in charge of connecting Kankakee County to regional planning efforts and economic development opportunities.
Snavely's term will continue through September 12, 2018.
