The Kankakee County board voted March 8 to extend its lease agreement with the public transit company Show Bus for three years.
The agreement also gives the county the authority to dispose of three old vehicles that are currently a part of the Show Bus fleet.
The deal was originally reviewed and recommended by the Planning, Zoning and Agriculture Committee on Feb. 17.
Show Bus is a Chenoa Township-based company providing public transit services to counties throughout central Illinois.
