The Kankakee County board declared a collection of workout equipment owned by the Kankakee County Sheriff's Office surplus March 8.
The list of surplus equipment includes a Bowflex workout system, two Life-Cycle bikes, three treadmills, one multi-station workout system, one elliptical machine and one bench press.
County officials said the equipment is being disposed of because it is old and in poor condition.
With approval in hand, the Sheriff's Office will be able to decide how to dispose of the equipment.
