The Economic Alliance of Kankakee County announced May 5 that it has promoted Tim Nugent as its new president and CEO.
In his new position, Nugent will be working under Kankakee County's 2014-19 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The Alliance is challenged to help spur $500 million in new business investment and 500 new jobs, along with assisting 150 prospective new businesses.
Nugent previously worked as a mayor for Village of Manteno, where he owned and operated Manteno Lumber & True Value, while leading numerous residential real estate development projects.
“Kankakee County has seen $1 billion in investment in the last two years alone,” Nugent said.
