"The Kankakee Environmental Services Utility is a department of the City of Kankakee which has responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the City's storm water, sanitary sewer systems, lift stations, hydroelectric facility, street lights, traffic control, GIS, information technology, City networks, green building operation and maintenance, solid waste, recycling, yard waste disposal, streets, alleys and arborist services."
