Heller, who plays for the New York Yankees, came out of the bullpen and pitched a scoreless inning in New York’s 14-3 win over Baltimore in Yankee Stadium. He faced four batters, with one reaching base on an error.

Heller made two more appearances after that through Aug. 30. According to Baseballreference.com, on Aug. 28 he gave up two earned runs and three hits in two-thirds of an inning in the Yankees’ 5-0 loss to Baltimore. He also recorded a strikeout and a walk.
On Aug. 30 in Kansas City he pitched one-third of an inning against the Royals, allowing a hit and a walk while notching another strikeout as the Yankees won 5-4. Heller was credited with his first career hold in the game.
After his first three appearances, Heller had pitched two innings with a 9.00 earned-run average, four hits and two walks allowed, and two strikeouts.
