The Olivet Nazarene women's and men's swimming and diving teams were ranked No. 1 in their respective recent NAIA Top 25 Polls, according to onutigers.com from a report by the national NAIA office.
The Tiger women's team earned the top spot for the first time in program history, claiming four of the five first-place votes. Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) claimed the other first-place vote.
The ONU men's team, which is the defending national champion, received all five first-place votes in its poll, with SCAD in second. The Tigers were runners-up at last year's national championships.
The recently released polls were the first of the season. The polls are determined by a committee of coaches, who release three polls during the season based primarily on the current top times. The next poll is scheduled to be released on Nov. 17.
