Bourbonnais Utility Committee reviews sewer backup policy

The village of Bourbonnais Utility Committee met Oct. 4 to review the sewer backup policy.

Village of Bourbonnais UTILITY COMMITTEE MINUTES

October 4, 2016

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting of the Utility Committee was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Trustee Littrell at the Administration Building Conference Room.

1. ROLL CALL: Present for roll call was Mayor Paul Schore, Trustee Amiano, Trustee Fischer, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee King, Trustee Keast and Trustee Littrell. Also in attendance were Village Administrator Van Mill, Assistant Administrator Wimberly, Treasuerer Riebe, Public Works Director Chamness, Finance Director Mike Wolf, and Mike Gingerich.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Amiano to approve the committee meeting minutes from September 20, 2016 as presented. Motion passed on a voice vote of 6-0.

a. Existing Sewer Overview – Mike Gingerich: Presentation of information on Davis Creek Interceptor, including alternate routes to service interchange development area using existing sewer system.

b. Sewer flow data to KRMA: Mayor Schore informed the committee that our meter reading discrepancy with KRMA is approximately +15M per month, specifically in spring. He is working with Public Works to determine why reading is so high.

3. OTHER: None

4. OLD BUSINESS:

• Anita Dr basement flooding: issue is being addressed by Public Works.

• Pencil cameras: on order.

• Sewer Backup policy: has been distributed and is being reviewed.

• Career Center Rd water problem: has been repaired by AQUA.

5. NEW BUSINESS: None

6. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None

7. ADJOURNMENT AND TIME: A motion was made by Trustee Greenlee and seconded by Trustee King to adjourn the committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 6-0 and the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
