The Augustana women's basketball team received votes in a recent D3hoops.com poll, according to www.ncaa.com.
As of Feb. 1, Augustana was 14-6. The Vikings got four votes in the NCAA Division III poll when it was updated Jan. 2.
College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Wheaton was ranked No. 23 in the poll.
Earlier this season, Augustana beat No. 21 Wisconsin-Whitewater 86-78 on Dec. 20 in Rock Island.
Tufts received 611 points, including 15 first-place votes, to be ranked No. 1. Amherst was No. 2 with 595 points and five first-place votes. The rest of the top five was Scranton at No. 3, St. Thomas at No. 4, and Washington University at No. 5.
Augustana carried a 10-2 record into the new year as of Jan. 3. The Vikings won their first 10 games of the season before losing to Berea 95-89 on Dec. 29 and to Dubuque 78-76 on Dec. 30, with both games played in Lexington, Kentucky.
