Bradley Village Board receives reports from village departments

Bradley Village Board met Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Here are the minutes as provided by Bradley:

Call to order

The regular meeting of the Bradley Village board was called to order on Monday, December 27, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bradley Municipal Hall. President Adams presided

Roll call: Trustee Redmond, Gadbois, Cyr and Watson. Trustee Balthazor and Carrico were absent

Agenda

Trustee Watson added a 15A Broadway stripping

A motion was made bu Trustee Gadbois and seconded by Trustee Cyr to approve the agenda with the changes. Motion carried on an all aye unanimous vote.

Presentation of minutes

A motion was made by Trustee Gadbois and seconded by Trustee Redmond to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting dated December 12, 2016.

(3 ayes 1 abstain Trustee Cyr 0 nays 2 absent) motion carried

Report of village officers and department heads

Chief Johnston gave the report for November 2016.

The chief presented Jeanne Richard with a certificate of appreciation for 20 years of service.

The Bradley police department encourages everyone to drink responsibly over the New Year's holiday and they will be out enforcing the laws.

Fire department

In the absence of Chief Travis, Mayo Adams read the fire department report for the month of November 2016.

Public relations - on November 11 & 12 the duty crew gave a station tour to the children from the Bradley public library's early start program. 12 children and their parents toured the station and the children were taught stop, drop and roll. A total of six man hours were used for this event.

The Bradley fire department personnel spent six hours doing public relations during the month of November.

Presentation of bills and accounts

A motion was made by Trustee Cyr and seconded by Trustee Gadbois to pay all bills and accounts by recommendation of the finance committee.

(4 ayes 0 nays 2 absent) motion carried

Report of standing committees

Ordinance & technology

Trustee Redmond stated he will be setting a meeting of the technology committee possibly a meeting of the whole the beginning of the year.

Unfinished business

There was nothing under unfinished business

New business

Broadway striping - Trustee Watson inquired about the striping is starting to chip and pop up. Mayor stated we have been in contact with the contractor regarding this issue. It is the intent of the village that this be done at no cost to the village. Public works has been instructed we will no longer use belly plows on Broadway. The engineers are working with the contractors to re-stripe in late spring.

Adjournment

A motion was made by Trustee Cyr and seconded by Trustee Redmond to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 6:41 p.m. on a unanimous aye vote.
