The Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) men's and women's tennis programs have each added a new player with an impressive resume on and off the court, according to the school's website.
Nathan Benoit of Bradley Bourbonnais High School will join the ONU program this fall. ONU's athletic website reported that Benoit has qualified for the Illinois High School Association state meet. Last year, he was All-South West Suburban Conference and ranked in the top 48.
Academically, Benoit was named an Illinois state scholar, is in the top 10 of his class and belongs to the National Honor Society. Benoit plans to pursue an accounting major.
On the women's side, the Tigers signed Emma Bush of Lapel (Indiana) High School. Bush is a middle-school tennis coach as well as a National Honor Society member and an inductee into the Academic Hall of Fame this year. Bush has not yet declared a major.
