Here is the minutes as provided by the Board:

Present: Deb Morgan, Jill Morse, Bill Wold, Mike Malkowski, Marty Roth, Dana Dickson, Laura Veldhuizen

Also: Doug Graves, John Henson, Gerry Morgan

Edwin Heldt receives a plaque that recognizes his contributions to the village over the years.

Auditor is here: Wade Arthur, senior auditor from Tighe, KRESS, & ORR is here to go over the audit.

1.Expenses are covered for 3 months (page 7)

2.Fund balances are strong

3.Coverage is good

4.Loss: Motor Fuel and TIF, but it was remediated and reconciled

5.BANK RECONCILIATIONS WOULD HELP MONTHLY. That was the only recommendation. The firm will send someone down to assist if necessary. Start fixing this today, don’t wait until fiscal year.

a.Fix putting in the correct line items (repayment for loan from TIF. So transfer repayment from general to TIF) This has been done.

6.AFR filed with controller is on time

7.Adjustments were made on the books so that they match

•Laura Velduizen motions to hire full time employee Josef Wehlauch at $14 per hour.

FINANCE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN DANA DICKSON: nothing actionable

Finance meeting on February 6 at 5:00

Asking for contact with TIF attorney for that mtg.

•December arrears for sewer bills. Getting there, and new bills coming out soon. 6 or 7 have issues. 3 tagged today.

Everything is running well. Rain was a bit of an issue, but the ground is frozen so we expected to have standing water here and there.

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN BILL WOLD:

•Christmas Decorations are down

•Update of heating and air conditioner at community building. Painting continues. Thanks to Mike Malkowski and Donnie Gas

•First reading ordinance travel and expenses ordinance is tabled by Jill Morse.

•Mike Malkowski motions to hire Brian Duncan as full time officer at $18.36 an hour beginning  first pay period in February .
