Edward Chipman Public Library District Board met June 15.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
I.Call to order: Judd called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken with board members: Judd, Koch, Lund, Lovell, Schroeder and Schurman in attendance; as well as Adkins (director).
II. Secretary's Report: The Secretary's report was reviewed. A motion was made by Koch and seconded by Schroeder to accept the report.
III. Treasurer's Report: The financial reports for April and May were reviewed. A motion was made to accept the financial report by Lovell. Motion seconded by Koch.
IV. Librarian's Report
1. There was a FOIA request for a list of every vendor used and how much was paid out for 2015-2016. The information was provided.
2. There are 77 registered for summer reading and it is going great!
4. A volunteer will be putting up the shelves.
5. A mobile library was discussed. Someone is potentially interested in delivering books to patrons. Any possible concerns were discussed.
6. Story time is going well.
7. Signs for the library were discussed.
8. ADA options were discussed.
V. Old Business
1. Prevailing Wage : Judd made motion to accept the prevailing wage for 2017 and Schurman seconded it. Roll call was taken. All were in favor.
2. Travel Resolution: Koch made a motion that we accept the revised Travel Resolution, Schroeder seconded.
3. ADA policies have been presented by lawyer to the ADA office.
VI. New Business
1.No new business was discussed.
Koch motioned that we go into a closed session. Judd seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the Board unanimously agreed for the need of a closed session to discuss personnel.
VII. Adjourn. Lovell motioned that the regularly session board meeting be adjourned. Schurman seconded the motion. Regular board meeting adjourned at 8:48 p.m. The Board went into closed session at 8:49 p.m.
