Village of Bourbonnais Franchise, License and Administration Committee met April 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Call to Order: The meeting of the Franchise, License, and Administration

Committee was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Trustee Fischer at the Administration Building Conference Room.

1. Roll Call: Present for roll call was Trustee Fischer, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee Keast and Trustee Littrell. Also in attendance were Village Treasurer Riebe, Administrator Van Mill, Finance Director Wolf and Village Attorney Dunn.

2. Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Trustee King and seconded by Trustee Keast to approve the committee meeting minutes from December 6, 2016 as presented. Motion passed on a voice vote of 4-0.

3. Liquor License Request:

o Flight 102 Wine Bar (Kelly 8 Brian St. Aubin)

Kelly and Brian St. Aubin presented a request to expand their current liquor license to include more variety of drink types.

o Shaddy's Convenient Mart (Shaddy Mohammad)

Shaddy Mohammad presented a request for a liquor license expansion to include gaming machines.

4. Other - Business Registration: Administrator Van Mi discussed Creation of a Village-wide business registration program for consideration by the Committee.

Trustee Fischer reviewed the Basset program (passed July 2015 by the State of IL Liquor Commission) requiring all liquor servers to take 4 hour certification. KCC offers free class.

Nucor Steel asked to partner with the Village of Bourbonnais to host a household hazardous waste dropoff event to be held May 27, 2017, open to residents in

Kankakee County. Village received approval from Riverside to hold event at their Bourbonnais Campus. Fliers to be distributed and advertising for event will be County wide.

8. Adjournment And Time: A motion was made by Trustee Greenlee and seconded by Trustee King to adjourn the committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 4-0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
