Village of Bourbonnais Finance Committee met April 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

1. Roll Call:

Village President Paul Schore, Trustee Amiano, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee Keast, Trustee Littrell, Trustee Fischer, Village Treasurer Riebe, Village Administrator Van Mill, Finance Director Wolf, and Village Attorney Pat Dunn are all present. Also in attendance is KCCVB Executive Director Staci Wilken. Absent is Trustee King.

2. Review and approve Committee minutes:

A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to approve the committee minutes from March 29, 2017.

3. Bills:

i. General funds bills reviewed: Committee approved.

ii. Special fund bills reviewed: Committee approved.

4. Other:

o Review of February General Fund operating results - Finance Director reviewed the General Fund Operating Report for February with the Committee.

o Approval of the KCVB agreement for qualification for IMRF pension status - Committee heard a presentation by KCCVB regarding the Intergovernmental Agreement. The Committee directed Attorney Dunn to review the agreement and report back to the Committee.

o Presentation of fiscal 2018 Budget - Finance Director presented the proposed Operating Budget for all Village funds for the Fiscal 2018 year.

o Other -

a. Administrator Van Mill presented a request from the Kankakee County Chamber for the Village to be a sponsor for its EnterpriseU. The Committee declined.

b. Administrator Van Mill reported that the Village will be applying for a Wayfinder Grant to improve event signage in the Village.

c. Administrator Van Mill reported on the status of the two Anita Drive properties that sustained sewer backup damage last year.

o Village Fund Balance Policy

New Business:

Trustee Greenlee inquired about new bids for a replacement sign for the Administration Building. Staff will review and report back to the Committee.

Public Comments: None.

Adjournment and Time:

A motion was made by Trustee Littrell and seconded by Trustee Keast to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m.
